We’re celebrating 20 years!

This year, Tawerna Pepe Verde is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In 2006, we opened the doors of our restaurant to you for the very first time, baked our first pizza, and prepared our first plate of Italian pasta.

The early days were an exciting challenge for us. Manufaktura was a brand-new destination in Łódź, and although it may be hard to believe today, not everyone was convinced it would have a bright future in our city. But from the very beginning, we felt that this place had enormous potential. And we were right.

These 20 years have been a time of intense and dynamic growth for us. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and Tawerna was joined by sister restaurants in Manufaktura Market Square: Hot Spoon, Galicja, and Al Dente. Our appetite for the restaurant business didn’t stop there. We soon opened TAJ Thai restaurants in Kraków and Katowice.

And today? Today, Tawerna is celebrating a wonderful milestone, while we are developing our new project — Borchówka Siedem Stawów, a leisure and culinary resort located in the Łódź Hills Landscape Park. It is a natural continuation of what began at Tawerna: our passion for hospitality. We love welcoming you, cooking for you, and seeing you enjoy good food and the time spent at our restaurant.

Celebrate Tawerna’s 20th Anniversary with Us!

A special anniversary calls for a truly special celebration. To mark our restaurant’s 20th anniversary, we’ve prepared a whole host of attractions for you. From September 18 to October 2, 2026, Tawerna will be hosting concerts, a special tasting dinner, promotions, competitions, surprises — and, above all, some very special guests.

We’re kicking things off on September 18 with an acoustic concert by Blue Cafe.

On Wednesday, September 23, Robert Makłowicz will visit us once again to host a special tasting dinner celebrating our restaurant’s 20th anniversary. Then, on September 30, Muniek Staszczyk will perform at Tawerna with his project, Muniek i Przyjaciele.

Admission to the concerts is free with advance reservation. Tickets for the dinner with Robert Makłowicz are available for purchase at the restaurant. The evening will feature a four-course dinner paired with wine, priced at PLN 350 per person.

Throughout September, Tawerna guests can enjoy a special 20% off for our 20th anniversary! Each week, selected dishes from our menu will be available at 20% off. From September 1–6, the discount will apply to all pasta dishes. From September 7–13, seafood will be 20% off. From September 14–20, all fish and seafood dishes will be available at 20% off, and from September 21–27, the discount will apply to all meat dishes.

Our guests will also have the chance to revisit some of Tawerna’s iconic dishes and drinks from years gone by. Dishes that were part of our menu in the early days of the restaurant will make a special comeback. And that’s not all — some of our former waiters and waitresses will return to Tawerna, too. On September 12, for one special day, our guests will be served by members of our former team. Many of them are still with us today, now working as supervisors and managers. Others will return especially for this one unforgettable anniversary day.

During our anniversary weekends, our youngest guests will be entertained by a fairy-themed animator who will organize games and activities for children, giving parents the chance to relax and enjoy their time at the restaurant. We’re also counting down to our one-millionth pizza sold! You can follow the countdown on the large counter displayed on the front of our restaurant.
